Over 100 feet long, 'Party Animals' is full of vivid color and witty visual surprises. The mural will features the 'Party Animals' of Charlotte in bright trendy outfits enjoying specialty brews sold at Lenny Boy. Viewers find something new each time they look. I began by creating a collage of photographs in Photoshop. Then, I paint with that as reference on a doodle grid using spray and latex paint in my bold, colorful style. Painted as the capstone project for my 2021 Brand The Moth Mural residency, this project provides a space for Charlotteans to feel silly. My mural adds to the fun experience of a trip to Lenny Boy Brewing Company. Before they even enter the bar, people feel their spirits rise. Much of my art is whimsical, lighthearted and full of color! Lately in our scary, fast-paced world it has been more important than ever to make art that keeps us all laughing! Theses critters bring a smile to everyone’s face.
