Vibrant Colors & Unique Style by Liz Haywood
Charlotte native Liz Haywood infuses her artwork with vibrant colors and rich textures, creating pieces that captivate and inspire. A graduate of Appalachian State University, Liz continued her studies at the Portfolio Center in Atlanta, where she won several prestigious student awards. Her professional journey took her to Manhattan, where she worked as a graphic artist for seven years, eventually becoming the Head of Graphic Design for Dolce Vita, a leading shoe brand.

After building a successful design career, Liz transitioned to focus on her passion for independent art. Returning to the South, she quickly established herself through a dynamic presence on social media and frequent participation in local art shows. During her time in Atlanta, Liz painted several public murals, using art as a medium to express social concerns and build community.

After relocating to Charlotte, Liz's career flourished. She created works for prominent events like Bethesda Art Rowand Festival in the Park. In 2021, she received an Honorable Mention from SouthEnd Arts and the Brooklyn Collective for her compelling contributions to the arts. That same year, Liz was accepted into the prestigious Brand the Moth mural residency, where she completed her capstone mural at Lenny Boy Brewing Company.

In 2022, Liz’s artwork gained national attention after being selected for the ArtPop Street Gallery class, where her work is now featured across the country. Liz’s murals and canvas works highlight her playful use of color, texture, and pattern, celebrating both her love of nature and commitment to social empowerment.
