About The Artist:
Liz Haywood is a bold and dynamic artist based in Charlotte, known for her vibrant, colorful paintings and murals that bring life and energy to any space. After graduating from Appalachian State University, Liz further honed her skills at the Portfolio Center in Atlanta, where she received several prestigious student awards. Liz then took on the professional challenge of working in New York City, where she spent seven years as a graphic artist, ultimately becoming the head of graphic design for Dolce Vita, a popular shoe brand. After achieving success in the fast-paced world of NYC, she returned to the South to build a demand for her unique, vibrant art through social media, local art shows, and large-scale murals. Her bold and energetic works have been featured at numerous festivals and exhibitions, including Bethesda Art Row, The Festival in the Park, and GreenHill Center’s LEAP: Artists Explore Outer Space. In 2021, she was awarded Honorable Mention by SouthEnd Arts and The Brooklyn Collective, and was selected for the Brand the Moth Mural Residency, where she completed a celebrated mural at Lenny Boy Brewing Company. Liz’s work has since gained national recognition, being juried into the ArtPop Street Gallery class of 2022 and displayed across the country. Her art combines a playful, retro-futuristic aesthetic with elements of street art and fine art, making her murals and canvas works eye-catching, fun, and full of personality.
