This work is part of my ongoing Witches series, which draws on feminist symbolism and reclaimed archetypes connected to land, intuition, and historically marginalized forms of knowledge. The figures appear collectively rather than individually, emphasizing shared presence and solidarity over portraiture. Bold color fields and simplified forms allow the work to operate symbolically rather than narratively, positioning the witches as guardians, witnesses, or stewards rather than villains. The series functions as both reclamation and resistance, foregrounding women’s relationships to land, power, and survival.
